Is Halloween Gaining Popularity?
Halloween seems to be more anticipated than ever coming in second to Christmas. Why is this? Is it because you get to dress up and hold parties? Is it the free pass to eat all that candy? Is it the outrageous decorations?
KKTV posted an article saying the average American is expected to spend about $72 on costumes, candy, and decor this year. That's up $6 from last year. That is assuming you spend $25 on costumes, $20 on candy, and $20 on decorations. People start planning for Halloween as much as a year in advance. Halloween is not just for kids anymore. It is also popular with adults. You can dress up, serve themed food, and eat candy.
Halloween is Monday October 31st 2011. Trick or Treating is most popular for children ages 5 to 13 but there are participants outside that age range. Be sure to check out pricible to find the best deals on candy and other supplies for your Halloween celebrations this year.
